Frequently Asked Questions

  • That will all depend on you!

I have more details on the custom quilt design page. Please check it out.

    The basics are:

    1. I will ask you questions about what you love - design, colors, styles, etc.

    2. I find or design a pattern that makes your heart say YES!

    3. I will find available fabrics that follow the colors you indicate, and provide images of the quilt with those fabrics. We will go back and forth until you love the look.

    4. Fabric will be purchased. At this point, your deposit becomes non-refundable.

    5. I make the quilt. I will send pictures of the process if you wish.

    6. I provide an invoice, and once paid I send you your finished quilt.

  • Of course! There are several options. We can quilt an edge-2-edge design over the entire quilt, or you can contact me to discuss custom or semi-custom options.

  • I have never met a quilt I cannot quilt. Seriously, I have gotten creative to make it work, but my frame is designed to quilt up to 120” wide, with length being a non-issue.

  • Absolutely! Those are some of the most lovely backs. I also quilt minky and cuddle.

I cannot guarantee that if you have a pieced back with a specific design on the back that you want centered it will be in the EXACT center due to how the quilt takes up, and I do have to charge a fee since there is extra time involved to make it as perfect as possible.

  • Yes, with some considerations for the backing fabric. If the backing is a heavier fabric (think denim or minky) there will be an extra charge as I will have to take extra time.

  • There are three options for you.

    1) edge-2-edge designs can be found on the All Over Designs page

    2) For semi-custom quilts, please contact me. I will get back to you to discuss your quilt. There are a multitude of options including free-motion, ruler work designs, computerized block designs, and mix of the above. Each quilt is different and getting a clear view of your vision for your quilt is important to me.

    3) Custom quilting requires a consultation and we will discuss what you are looking for. I will develop a proposal with layouts and renderings then send it to you for approval.

  • I don’t charge any thread fees. The only fees I charge are for the quilting and batting, and a per hour fee if there is any work required to get your quilt top or backing ready for the frame. All charges will be discussed up front before any work is started to make sure you are aware of what the total charges will be. Custom quilting will be charged by the hour, and I will give my best estimate, and all time will be tracked in 30 min increments to account for all time worked.

  • The care of your item is easy! The details are different depending on the product you purchased, but all items come with care instructions included.

Here is the general rule of thumb:

For cotton housewares (think bowl cozies and coasters) - throw them in the wash on cold, then let air dry. It may help to flatten coasters and potholders.

For cloth and quilted bags and journals, or any product made with vegan leather or cork, spot clean with cold water and a cleaning cloth. Don’t put in the washer!

If stains are stubborn, for all items, try using regular blue Dawn dishsoap. Just a drop on a damp cloth. Rub the stain, then use a clean damp cloth to “rinse” the soap off.
