Included with Every Quilt

Your quilting price includes all standard thread and bobbin usage required to complete the project.

Time Woven Studio does not charge separate thread or bobbin fees. Any additional charges for batting, binding, shipping, or quilt preparation will be discussed and approved before work begins.

Longarm quilting pricing is based on the size of the quilt and the complexity of the quilting design.

Standard Edge-to-Edge

The most popular option for everyday quilts.

$0.03 per square inch

Premium Edge-to-Edge

Highly detailed quilting designs with increased stitch density.

$0.04 per square inch

Budget Edge-to-Edge

Ideal for charity quilts, utility quilts, and budget-conscious projects.

$0.02 per square inch

Semi-Custom Quilting

Semi-custom quilting combines edge-to-edge quilting with customized quilting in borders, blocks, or sashing.

Quoted individually based on complexity.

Custom Quilting

Custom quilting is designed specifically for your quilt and may include ruler work, free-motion quilting, or unique design elements.

$30 per hour

Custom Quilt Design & Construction

Each custom quilt is quoted individually based on:

  • Finished size

  • Design complexity

  • Fabric selection

  • Quilting requirements

Custom quilts are designed collaboratively and priced on a project basis.

Minimum Quilt Charge

A minimum charge of $50 per loaded backing applies.

If you have multiple small projects, such as placemats or table runners, they may be quilted together on a single backing to meet the minimum charge. This allows several projects to be completed during one machine setup and helps keep costs lower.

Batting

You may provide your own batting or purchase batting through the studio.

Available options include:

  • 100% Cotton

  • 80/20 Cotton Blend

  • Bamboo Blend

  • Wool

  • Polyester

Batting is charged at current supplier cost.

Quilt Preparation Services

Pricing is based on receiving a quilt ready to load on the longarm machine.

Most quilts will not require any additional preparation charges. If preparation work is needed, it is billed at:

$30 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments

Examples of preparation work may include:

  • Sewing backing seams

  • Pressing excessively wrinkled tops or backings

  • Trimming excessive loose threads

  • Correcting significant border waviness

  • Centering pattern-matched backing fabric

  • Repairing open seams

  • Adding leader fabric when required

Any required preparation work will be discussed and approved before work begins.

Binding Services

Binding services may be purchased individually or combined.

Binding Preparation

Client-provided fabric is cut, joined, and pressed into binding ready to attach.

$0.15 per linear inch

Attach Binding to Quilt Front

Binding is attached to the front of the quilt and left ready for hand finishing.

$0.25 per linear inch

Machine-Finished Binding

Binding is completely finished by machine.

$0.50 per linear inch

Important

Binding preparation is a separate service.

If you provide fabric or unprepared binding strips, the binding preparation fee will apply before the binding can be attached.

If you provide binding that is already prepared and ready to attach, only the attachment or finishing fee will be charged.
